About Leila:

Leila Kaneda (she/her) is an experienced machine learning strategist, researcher, engineer, and founder with a passion for helping organizations harness AI to solve real-world problems. She holds a masters degree in AI and has spent a decade building production-grade ML systems across a variety of different industries such as nonprofits, restaurants, retail, agriculture, aerospace, finance, semiconductor, sustainability, and more. She has also spent more than 20 years as an educator, including some time as an adjunct instructor at Portland State University.

Leila is known for her ability to translate complex machine learning concepts into clear, actionable strategies that empower teams and drive innovation. Beyond her technical work, she’s an active speaker, educator, and community leader dedicated to making cutting-edge technology accessible and impactful.
